Water handling equipment has been the central development and manufacturing focus of Southern Cross for over 130 years. Founded in Australia in 1871 the company has provided many solutions to the nation's water supply needs in all areas of industrial, mining and agricultural development, as well as to many overseas markets.

Southern Cross operates a manufacturing facility in Withcott, Queensland, which incorporates an in-house non-ferrous foundry, fabricating factory, pump manufacturing and product warehouse and distribution centre.

The well known product range includes centrifugal pumps, multi-stage centrifugal pumps, submersible drainer pumps, borehole and pedestal helical rotor pumps, domestic water pressure systems, turbine pumps, electric submersible pumps, windmills, water storage tanks, soft hose travelling irrigators.
